Top court orders Alberta to pay costs in Edmonton francophone man’s traffic ticket appeal

It's days like today that make me proud to pay taxes. I think it's wonderful that 3.92 million Anglophones should foot le bill so that the 0.08 million Francophones of our province can read their traffic tickets in French! This makes me so happy.

Quite literally several lots could be filled with the legal implications of this court case but why on earth couldn't this guy simply have paid some bilingual office worker $40 to translate the ticket and then be a good citizen and pay it -- and f@$& right off!
