Google by SMS

You don't need internet access to use google! Text (SMS) to Google's short number 466453 (G-O-O-G-L-E) and you'll quickly get your answer back. Naturally you won't want to do this if you must pay 20 cents a text but as far as I can tell there is no added cost to Bells unlimited txting for messages to and from Twitter, Facebook & Google to name a few so you might as well take advantage of it.
For Google Currency Conversion
Txt:
1 cad in krw
To get the following results:

1 Canadian dollar = 1 103.78691 South Korean won" circa March 31 2009

There are standard three letter codes for all major currencies. USD and CAD are pretty obvious as is EUR but PHP is Philippines peso and JPY is Japanese yen!

You can also txt:
Weather T6C2E8
To get local weather

For business listings txt:
Sushi T6C1G9
Not just for food!

I'm not sure how yet but you can get step by step directions from A to B.

Everybody that can txt probably has a calculator in there phone too but you can txt:
2223/31
And get the answer txted back by Google almost immediately.

For more commands check out

Or experiment.

I best end this post here as my wife thinks I'm bonkers for doing this whole post from my phone.

Perhaps more about Twitter and Facebook SMS commands next time.
